Sancta Familia's parents and teachers meet monthly to
discuss current business and to plan and carry out
fundraisers and home-school events.  All parents are
automatically members of the PTO upon registration, and all
parents are required to volunteer in some capacity. (See
Family Handbook)

New officers have been elected for the 2007 - 2008 school
year.  Contact information to be added.

The purpose of the Parent Teacher Organization is to provide training
and support for parents and to organize parent volunteers to support
and serve the school. Our goal is to enhance our parent/school
relationship i.e.: to seek to develop a good fit between the two.

We hope to accomplish this purpose by filling the following chairs:

Parent Education - This committee will provide training workshops
and mentoring programs for parents in the school.

Parent Encouragement - This committee will organize support
meetings and social events for families in the school.

Teacher Support - This committee will organize parent volunteers to
help in the school on a week-to-week, day-to-day basis, such as
room moms, car pool volunteers, field trips…

Fund Raisers -  This committee will be organizing fund raisers to help
the school provide an excellent program at an affordable price.

Upper School Clubs and Extracurricular -  This committee will
organize clubs and activities for high school and middle school
students such as debate teams, yearbook staff, drama clubs…..

Lower School Extracurricular - This committee will organize events for
the lower school such as field day and clubs such as Little Flowers,
Blue Knights, 4H, and Scouts.

Spiritual Emphasis - This committee will help the school provide
spiritual activities such as prayer chain, character development
programs for students, service projects….

It is our desire to get parents involved in the school for two reasons.
First, it creates a sense of ownership or investment for parents as
well as establishing a "school community." Second, the school can
offer a much wider variety of activities and events with parent
volunteers. Every parent in the school is asked to volunteer for at
least one activity during the course of the school year.

Next Meeting:  December 11th at 7:00 pm
