A tentative "general" schedule has been posted to both the classical school site and the home academy site. It can also be downloaded below. Teacher schedules and more detailed schedules will be finalized before the beginning of the second week of school (first week of full days). The times are approximate and the schedule is meant to show the blocks of time set aside for each course to assist parents, students, and teachers with planning. Due to teacher availability, some times may need to change.
Florida Virtual School account is all straightened out and the renewal complete! Student class requests will be sent to me for verification. If you have any questions, email Mrs. Noonan at email@example.com.
First week of school, August 16th through 19th, will be half days! Students will attend 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Beginning the second week, the schedule will be 8:45 - 3:15, with the last class finishing at 3:00 p.m. Students will have 15 minutes to write down homework assignments and gather their belongings and be ready for dismissal by 3:15.
If you have not turned in enrollment forms, your child is not enrolled and will not have books. So, if you intend to bring your child to school next week, please notify us immediately. Books have already been ordered, but we will order more if necessary. Enrollment and book fees must be paid by the end of the first week of school.
Co-op classes begin the week of August 22nd and home ed students must register and choose their classes so that we will have enough books. The class list has been published on our home academy site. This is not a list of all the classes on the full-time schedule, but rather a list of classes open to home education and home academy students through our co-op.
If I do not have your email address, send it to me at firstname.lastname@example.org so that I can add you to our email list. You should also consider signing up for the RSS Feed on this page so that you will know when news has been posted here. While we are still using the home-school life website (our .net address) the calendar will be used for email updates as well. In order to receive those updates, you must sign up. I cannot add you. Go to www.sanctafamilia.net and request membership.
A schedule will be posted by the end of this week.
Virtual School Registration: If you plan to take any classes through Florida Virtual School (www.flvs.net) you must register as a student of Sancta Familia Academy unless you are enrolled with the county in a home education program and not a student of SFA. Our agreement with FLVS has not been renewed and your classes will not be approved until that is worked out; however, you should still choose Sancta Familia Academy as your Brevard private school and check in every day or two so that you will know when your classes have been approved. Scholarship students may take no more than two classes through virtual school. Home Academy students may choose as many virtual classes as they want
