Information, links, and pages are being added often to sanctafamilia.org, sfaclassicalschool.org, and sfahomeschool.org.
New this week: Exceptional Education Links page in our Link Library, article from Seton on the importance of using Catholic materials to educate our children, article on Jesuit Model of Education, co-op class listing..... The calendar is being updated and a copy of the calendar handed out at the Parent Meeting on 8/10/10 will be available for download as well as the Supply List (which was not given out) before the "tax-free" shopping days. Tax-free shopping days: Friday, August 13th through Sunday, August 15th Supply Lists will be posted on our TeacherWeb site which also has both a monthly calendar and calendar in list format. Updates will also be made to the member site at sanctafamilia.net Families who have not joined online need to do so. The calendar on the member website generates automatic email updates that we assume you are receiving. Another new service this year is google apps for our school which includes chat, email, groups, video, document sharing, calendar, websites, and more. You may be asked to sign up in the next few weeks via email. You will be given your own email address at sanctafamilia.net. Though the old email addresses will continue to work for our administrators and teachers having @sanctafamilia.org, it would be a good idea to keep a list of the new .net teacher and administrator emails. This list will be given out during the first week of school along with student and parent pins and passwords needed for the password protected pages on this site, student pages on teacherweb, and classrooms on engrade.com. Teaching the Catholic Faith to our children is our primary responsibility as Catholic parents. We must teach it mainly by good example, showing our children how to live our Faith each day in our daily situations. In addition, the Church declares we are to teach the Faith by “word.” This means we must teach it orally. Most of us use catechisms and other materials as well. What we must not forget, however, is that the Church is clear that all subjects should be taught from a Catholic perspective.
