SFA 8th Grade Graduation, Promotion & Awards Ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Holy Family Church in Melbourne.  Students need to arrive at 6:00 p.m.

Reminder:  Final Chorus practice will be held at SFA on Tuesday, May 31st after school cleaning and pizza party.  Students are required to be at school from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.  All school books must be returned and students must take any personal items home by May 31, 2011.

Volunteers are needed to help prepare for the ceremony on Wednesday.  A cleaning crew will meet at Holy Family on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.

Reminder:  Re-enrollment forms must be filled out and turned in to school office by June 1, 2011.  An administrator will call to set up an appointment to finalize tuition agreements with those who have submitted the re-enrollment form only.  Enrollment Forms, New Student Applications, and Applications for Financial Assistance are available for printing from our Classical School Website. The calendar for the 2011-2012 school year is under development and will be posted on the website when it is finalized.  A schedule of classes will also be posted in June.




Reminder - Mass was rescheduled and will now be on Tuesday, May 24th at 11:00 a.m. Students must be in full uniform. Girls bring veils and all should remember to bring their Missals.

All are reminded to be on time for 9:00 a.m. Mass on Friday, May 27th, the last Friday of the school year.

Last day of regular classes is Friday, May 27th. History exams will be before lunch and music will be after lunch. Regular dismissal times all week. 3:15 Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 2:00 p.m. Friday.

Attendance is required for the last day of school on Tuesday, May 31st.  Students should arrive at 12:30 and we will begin cleaning at 1:00. All textbooks, library books, novels, and any other SFA material must be returned before June 1st.  Any lost items must be paid for before students will receive report cards. Students will clean out their desks and must take home any personal items, papers, notebooks, etc. After cleaning up their own space, students will assist with a general cleaning of the school.  We will order pizza for the students and parents to have after cleaning is finished.  At 3:30 Mr. Jaramillo will have a final practice with students and all will be dismissed by 4:30 p.m.

We have a couple of different dates to choose from for our Graduation and Promotion Ceremony.  The date and location will be determined ASAP but plan on it being at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 5/31 or Wednesday 6/1.  We should have three students graduating kindergarten and three students graduating 8th grade this year, and all of the students have been learning a couple of hymns with Mr. Jaramillo which they will sing for us.

Re-enrollment forms will be sent home with students this week.  Please remember to fill them out and return them no later than June 1st.  New Student Applications and Financial Aid Applications are available for the 2011-2012 school-year.  A calendar and class schedule should be available soon.
Announcements Testing has been re-scheduled to be held on May 10th and 11th.  Students will arrive at school at regular time (8:45 a.m.) and must not be tardy.  Testing will begin at exactly 9:00 a.m. There will be a lunch break and testing will end at 1:15 p.m.  Students will be dismissed at 1:15 and must be picked up no later than 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10th and 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11th at Ballard Park. (See Jog-a-thon below.)  In order to do their best, students should be well rested and have a healthy breakfast.  Students should bring a water bottle and sharpened no. 2 pencils with them on test days.

Jog-a-thon has been re-scheduled and will be held after testing on Wednesday, May 11th. Parents and siblings are invited to participate and assist in tracking and providing water & Gatorade to our runners.  Drivers are needed to transport students to Ballard Park at 1:15 p.m.  Parents who will  not be attending the jog-a-thon must pick up their children at the park at 3:00.
Pledge forms must be turned in no later than Friday, May 13th and money collected and turned in to school office by June 1, 2011. 

Equestrian field trip is scheduled for Wednesday, May 18th 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.  Parents and siblings are invited.  Drivers are needed.  We will be leaving the school at 12:15 p.m.  The cost is $5 per student and permission slips are due in the school office by Friday, May 13, 2011.

Fourth marking period ends Friday, May 27th.
